Press Trust of India New Delhi
Copper prices softened by 0.33 per cent to Rs 328.85 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded their positions amid sluggish demand at the domestic spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in far-month November declined by Rs 1.10, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 328.85 per kg in business turnover of 35 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in August contracts eased by Re 1, or 0.31 per cent to Rs 322.70 per kg in 943 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to weak trend at the domestic markets owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.
