copper prices drifted lower by 0.33 per cent to Rs 454.90 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced exposure, driven by easing demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June fell by Rs 1.50, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 454.90 per kg in business turnover of 9 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April contracts shed Rs 1.35, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 451.45 per kg in 1,410 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand in the physical market weighed on copper prices at futures trade.
