Copra Alapuzha, Kozhikode maintain uptrend on steady demand

The rising trend in copra Kozhikode and Alapuzha remained unabated for the fourth trading day at the spices market here due to sustained domestic as well as stockists offtake amid restricted arrivals.

Black pepper, ginger, copra edible and copra Rajapur closed at their overnight levels in the absence of worthwhile buying.

Copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 75 per quintal to Rs 5,025 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 4,950 and copra office Alapuzha firmed up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 5,100 as against Rs 5,050 previously.
