Delhi Police today claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of robbers and snatchers with the arrest of four persons and recovery of nine gold chains and stolen motorcycles which were used in the commission of crime.
The accused - Nanda Kishore, Sanjay, Sachin Kumar and Azad Singh - all hailing from Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh were arrested by the staff of South district police yesterday.
"The gang members during interrogation admitted to have committed 28 cases of snatching and robbery. The gang used to target women going for morning walk or to drop their children to school. After committing the crime, they would dispose of snatched gold articles to their acquainted jewellers," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) B S Jaiswal.

There has been a spate of such crime in the recent past in south Delhi and police suspected the involvement of the Jhinjhana gang.
Police got a tip that two members of the gang would pass through M B Road on a stolen vehicle, and immediately laid a trap and nabbed the duo -- Nanda Kishore and Sanjay. Later, Sachin Kumar and Azad Singh were arrested in a similar raid at Siri Fort Road, said Jaiswal.
The accused have admitted to their crime in different areas of Delhi and NCR, police said.
