Coriander and turmeric prices dropped Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely dragged down by low demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stock.
Besides, increased arrivals from producing regions and a weakening trend in the futures market also put pressure on select spice prices.
Coriander and turmeric prices were down Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 11,000-16,000 and Rs 7,800-11,800 per quintal, respectively.

Marketmen said a considerable fall in demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stock position, mainly pulled down coriander and turmeric prices.

Ajwain (per kg) 160-190, black pepper (per kg) 630-780, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,730-1,750 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,980-2,000.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 790-850, cardamom (colour robin) 790-810, cardamom bold 800-820, cardamom extra (bold) 920-970 and cloves 700-800.
