Corporate Indian golf team has finished 8th at the 21st World Amateur Golfers Championship in Turkey.
A regular on the IGU men's amateur circuit, Shiv Naren Srinivasan had a nett score of 221 in 0-5 H'cap category out of a total team score of 894 that enabled the corporate Indian contingent to register a top-10 finish.
Other team players struggled to impress as Sridhar Reddy in 6-10 H'cap category had a nett score of 228, Raphael Parambi in 11-15 H'cap category registered 233, V S Thyagarajan in 16-20 H'cap category scored 237 and Shrenik Kumar in 21-25 H'cap category managed 223.

Malaysian corporate team won the tournament by getting a total nett score of 851. Singapore came second with a total nett score of 858.
Forty countries participated in the tournament that was played at three of Turkey's finest golf courses - Lykia Links Course, Gloria New Golf Course & Gloria Old Golf Course.
In the individual competition, Shiv Naren, Sridhar, Raphael, Thyagarajan and Shrenik finished 7th, 11th, 18th, 17th and 8th respectively in their categories.
All five players became eligible to play for the team after they emerged winners in their respective individual categories at the 5-day long Toyota Karnataka Golf Festival (TKGF) held in Bengaluru in September this year.
TKGF is India's official qualifier for the WAGC and supported by Karnataka Tourism.
