The government has given more time to corporates to file their cost audit report in the new form under the Companies Law.
Now, the deadline for submitting cost audit report in e-form 'CRA-4' has been extended till September 30 after the previous deadline expired on August 31.
The extension has been given for filing cost audit report for 2014-15.
In June, the Corporate Affairs Ministry had notified 'CRA-4' form for filing the cost audit report under the Companies Act, 2013.
The "last date for filing of Form CRA-4 without any penalty/late fee" has been extended till September 30, according to a circular issued by the Ministry on September 1.
The Ministry had in June also notified form 'CRA-2' for intimating the Ministry about appointment of a cost auditor. It had amended the Companies {cost records and audit) Rules.
Most provisions of the new Companies Law came into effect from April 1, 2014.
