Cottonseed oil cake futures up on positive spot cues

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Cottonseed cake prices rose Rs 32 to Rs 1,543 per quintal in futures trade today as traders raised bets, supported by upbeat cues from physical markets.

Marketmen attributed the rise in cottonseed cake prices at futures trade to a firm trend at the domestic spot markets on the back of sturdy demand from animal feed makers amid tight position of ready stocks.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed cake for most-traded delivery in December strengthened by Rs 32 or 2.12 per cent to Rs 1,543 per quintal with an open interest of 68,390 lots.

Likewise, the delivery for the contract of January gained Rs 27, or 1.77 per cent, to Rs 1,555 per quintal, having an open interest of 7,900 lots.
