Cottonseed oils up on scattered buying

In restricted activity, cottonseed oil prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on scattered buying by vanaspati millers.

However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled at last levels.

Traders said scattered buying by vanaspati millers mainly pushed up cottonseed oil prices.

In the national capital, cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 5,800 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 940-1,080.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 8,400, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,350-1,400, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,900, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,250- 1,300, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,300-1,400, sesame mill delivery 7,700, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,900, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,600, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,250, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 5,800, Palmolein (RBD) 6,050, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,900 and Coconut (per tin) 2,550-2,600.
 

Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,350, Castor 9,750-9,850, Neem 5,350-5,450.
