Counterfeit currency note racket busted

Police today busted a gang involved in circulation of counterfeit currency notes with the arrest of three persons.

The gang was involved in circulating notes in the denominations of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 denomination for over a year, police said.

The arrestes were made on the basis of a tip off, they said, adding that a case had been registered in this connection and raids are being conducted to arrest other accused.
