Country-made bombs goes off near BJP meeting venue, none

A country-made bomb went off in a ground near the venue of a BJP meeting at Cheriya Kaiveli in the district tonight, but no one were injured, a senior police official said.

The bomb went off about 100 metres from the venue at about 8 pm, one hour after the meeting had started, he said.

Investigation into the incident is on, the official said.
