Country singer Granger Smith hospitalized after on-stage fall

Country singer Granger Smith has been hospitalized after an on-stage accident left him with two separated and broken ribs as well as a punctured and partially collapsed lung.
The 37-year-old singer confirmed the news on Twitter, giving a hopeful update of his condition.
"I took a pretty hard spill last night in Jersey. Thx for the well wishes," he wrote.

"Y'all mean the world to me. I'll be out of the hospital and 100 per cent soon," he went on to assure fans about his well-being.
During his performance at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, Smith stood on top of a monitor, which knocked over, causing the singer to fall onto a metal barricade. Despite the intense injury, he got back up on stage and finished the concert, heading to the hospital later.
As of now, Smith has canceled his remaining weekend shows and appearances.
