Couple commit suicide in UP

A young man and a woman allegedly committed suicide after their families disapproved of their relationship in Manapur village here, police said today.

While Lokesh (24) consumed poison last night, 22-year-old Kavita allegedly killed herself today after she got the information about her lover's death, SP (Rural) Pankaj Pandey said.

Postmortem was not conducted on the bodies and they were cremated without informing the police, Pandey added.
