A jatra artist couple was injured when a co-artist allegedly stabbed the duo at Hinjili in Ganjam district, police said today.
The incident took place when the couple objected to some comments allegedly made by the accused, Sushant Sahu against the woman yesterday, said Prasant Kumar Sahoo, inspector in-charge (IIC) of Hinjili police station.
The accused, who hails from Kumarpur in Bhadrak district, has been arrested, while the injured couple are undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here, he said.
