Couple killed in mishap in Punjab

A couple was killed when a sand-laden truck overturned and fell on their shanty at Baghapurana here, police said today.

Jalandhari Nath (41) and his wife Soma (38) were killed on spot last night when the truck overturned and fell on their shack adjacent to the road, they said.

The truck driver fled from the spot, police said, adding, that a case has been registered in this connection.
