A Pakistani anti-corruption court today issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for the daughter of the Chief Minister of Sindh province in a corruption case.
The warrant was issued for Naheed Durrani after she failed to appear in court on multiple occasions in connection with a case in which the Federal Investigation Agency named her as a witness.
The court ordered the FIA to arrest Durrani and present her in court on December 11.
Durrani, the daughter of Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, is considered one of the most powerful bureaucrats in the province. She earlier served as the provincial secretary for education, finance and planning and development.
