A court here today awarded life sentence to 12 persons in connection with the murder of four persons in 2012.
Besides handing them life sentence, District and Sessions Judge Ajay Kumar Shukla also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on each of them.
Those awarded life sentence were -- Mohammad Suleman, Jahangir, Misrool, Rama, Karim, Islam, Hanif Mansoori, Samshul Firoz, Mazrul, Nadam, Abid and Mohammad Islam.
As per the prosecution, four persons were shot dead by the convicted persons due to an old enmity on June 30, 2012 at Gangoli village under Pandaul police station of the district.
Those killed in the incident were -- Mohammad Ali, Md Hatim, Md Rafique and Md Nasim.
