Court summons AIMIM MLA

A local court

today directed an All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA Ahmed Pasha Quadri, to appear before it on October 20 in connection with a case of allegedly making objectionable comments against Mahatma Gandhi.

In 2013, Pasha, allegedly used objectionable words about the statue of Mahatma Gandhi while addressing a public meeting at Jagityal in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh on January 17.

On a complaint by Karimnagar town BJP President Sanjay Bandi, the Judicial Magistrate of First Class G Srinivas has issued summons.
