Cousins kill minor for Rs 300

A 17-year-old boy was killed allegedly by his two cousins in a dispute over paltry sum of Rs 300 at Saranwas Bodhe village near here, police said today.

Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Narinder Pal Singh said that the deceased identified as Jasveer Singh alias Jassa was allegedly killed for demanding Rs 300 back from his cousins, Gora Singh and Pritam Singh.

The incident happened on Tuesday night when the accused called Jassa to the village grain market where they allegedly strangulated him with a wire, Singh said.

Police has registered a case of murder against both the cousins, who are at large, he added.
