Cow's head found in Saharanpur village

Tension was palpable in Kurdikheda village under Biharigarh police station limits here after the severed head of a cow was found today.

Security has been enhanced in the village and the situation was under control, a senior police official said.

The incident appeared to be the handiwork of some anti- social elements who wanted to vitiate the atmosphere on Eid, Superintendent of Police Prabal Pratap Singh said.

The head has been sent to the veterinary clinic for post-mortem, the SP said.

A probe is on and the guilty will be held soon, he added.
