Travel marketplace Weareholidays today said it has roped in Cox & Kings director Urrshila Kerkar as an investor by offering 85 per cent stake in her personal capacity in the firm for an undisclosed amount.
"We have brought in Urrshila Kerkar as a new investor in Series-B funding. She has bought out the existing shareholders' 85 per cent stake to gain a majority stake. Kerkar is a director at Cox & Kings," Weareholidays chief executive Deepak Wadhwa said in a statement.
Weareholidays is a travel marketplace that helps travellers record their trips. Founded in 2012, it has several angel investors like Vijay Shekhar, Anupam Mittal, Rajesh Sawhney and Sachin Bhatia. It has also raised money from Blume Ventures and Matrix Partners India.
