CPI lauds Cuba for sending medics to treat Ebola patients

CPI today lauded Cuba for taking a "courageous decision" by sending 165 health professionals to three African countries to treat Ebola patients.
"The international fight against Ebola will get a big support with the decision of Cuba to send 165 health professionals. This is a courageous decision as the health professionals are risking their lives in this battle," CPI General Secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said in a letter to Cuban President Raul Castro.
Reddy wished the Cuban medical team all success and congratulated the Cuban government and Communist Party of Cuba for "this act of international solidarity".
