CPI(M) leader Shyamal Chakraborty today blamed Trinamool Congress (TMC) for the "unprecedented post-poll violence across West Bengal" and called for putting up an "united fight" against it.
"TMC has unleashed an unprecedented post-poll violence across the state. We along with BPMO (Bengal Platform for Mass Organisations) call upon the people of West Bengal to put up an united fight against any act of violence unleashed by Trinamool," he said.
CPI(M) has accused Trinamool Congress of letting loose a "reign of terror" on opposition workers across the state, an allegation which TMC has promptly denied.
