CPI-M worker stabbed to death in Kerala

A 45-year-old CPI-M activist was killed today and his brother seriously injured when they were attacked allegedly by a group of RSS-BJP workers at Kayakunnu near here in Kasargod District.

Police forces have been deployed in the area as tension prevailed after the incident.

BJP-RSS leadership here denied allegations that their workers were involved in the attack.

Narayanan and his brother Aravindan were attacked by a group of persons with sharp-edged arms this afternoon, police said.

Narayanan died of stab injuries while seriously injured Aravindan had been admitted to a private hospital at Mangalapuram.

CPI-M has called for a hartal in the district tomorrow in protest against the killing.
