Top brass of CPI including general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy, stalwarts like A B Bardhan, D Raja and party leaders of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are expected to participate in the three-day meeting, CPI Odisha state Secretary Dibakar Nayak said here today.

For the first time CPI's national executive meeting is going to be held in Bhubaneswar, he said, adding that a seminar on 'Crisis in Indian Agriculture and Food Security' would be held during the meet.

"Besides undertaking a thorough analysis of the present political situation in the country, the meeting would chalk out party's programmes for future," Nayak said.

Issues like "anti-people" economic policies of the UPA government, FDI in retail, food security, problems of farmers and agricultural labourers and disinvestment moves in profit making PSUs would be discussed threadbare at the meeting, he said.

Resolutions on POSCO and Vedanta are also expected to be adopted at the meeting, he said.
