CPI stages demo

CPI today staged a demonstration

at the Head Post office here criticising "failure" of the Central and State governments to control prices of essential commodities.

CPI Puducherry State committee secretary R Viswanathan, party's national council member N.Kalainathan and AITUC Puducherry unit secretary V S Abishegam were among those who participated in the protest.

Slogans were raised seeking action on the part of the Centre and Puducherry government to curb rise in prices of essential commodities.
