CPI has said that it would hold protests before all the Central government offices in the state on March 11 to demand special category status for Andhra Pradesh.
CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna told this to reporters here on Friday a day after the conclusion of the party's 25th State conference.
"CPI would start a movement to seek special category status from the Centre. As part of it, protests would be held before all the Central government government offices across the state on March 11," he said.

Ramakrisha appealed to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Loksatta Party leader Jayaprakash Narayan and Jana Sena leader Pavan Kalyan to support CPI in the movement.
"If they have genuine concern on this issue, they should support us, or else people would treat them as betrayers of the state," Ramakrishna said.
