A casehas been registered against the owner of the cracker manufacturing unit at Kambalabettu in Dakshina Kannada district,where an explosion claimed the lives of two of its employeeson March 20, police said.
The owner N Abdul Shukur faces charges under the Explosives Act and IPC sections 286 (Negligent conduct with respect to explosive substance) and 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder).
Shukur, who has permission to run the unit, is named as accused in the case.

Meanwhile, forensic experts examined the site and collected evidence.
