A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly supplying illegal liquor in rented vehicles from southwest Delhi, police said Tuesday.
The accused was identified as Ankit, a resident of Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh, they said.
On Sunday at around 1.30 pm, police stopped a car, with Haryana registration number, at Benito Marg and the driver was arrested, a senior officer said.
Sixty cartons containing 3,000 quarters of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession, police said.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that he used to supply illicit liquor from Haryana to Delhi and Ghaziabad.
He used to transport liquor during peak traffic hours, police said.
