CRS to inspect Kallayi-Cheruvattur electrified section t'mrrow

Commissioner of Railway Safety, Bengaluru, S K Mittal, will inspect the newly electrified section between Kallayi and Cheruvattur of Shoranur-Mangalore stretch tomorrow.

A Southern Railway release said "the safety inspection will commence from Kallayi station at 9-00 am and reach Cheruvattur at 4-30 pm. In the return direction, he will conduct speed trial inspection starting from Cheuvattur at 4.45 p m to arrive Kallayi at 6.45 pm."

He would be accompanied by high ranking officials of Rail Electrification-Bengaluru, Zonal officers from southern railway-chennai, Divisional Railway Manager-Palakkad, Anand Prakash and others, the release added.

The trial run on the line using a tower wagon fitted with electric engine was conducted earlier on March 16.
