Besides, firming trend overseas also supported the upside

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid rising domestic demand, crude palm oil prices rose by 0.49% to Rs 431.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions.

Besides, firming trend overseas also supported the upside.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January moved up by Rs 2.10, or 0.49% to Rs 431.30 per 10 kg in business turnover of 35 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in December edged up by Rs 1.60, or 0.38% to Rs 420.50 per 10 kg in 25 lots.

Analysts said speculators enlarged positions on the back of rising demand in the spot market mainly kept crude palm oil prices higher in futures trade.
