Crude palm oil up by 0.4% on rising demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil prices were up by 0.42% to Rs 382.40 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in October moved up by Rs 1.60, or 0.42%, to Rs 382.40 per 10 kg in business turnover of 41 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in September edged up by Rs 1.50, or 0.39%, to Rs 377 per 10 kg in 125 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators following rising demand in the spot market, mainly influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
