CSE index rises 53.17 points

The benchmark CSE-40 index closed at 6281.57 points after opening at 6228.40 points.

Infosys Technologies stayed flat at Rs 2433 during the day.

Larsen & Toubro also did not change at Rs 1463.

Reliance Industries lost Rs 1.10 and closed at Rs 810.10.

State Bank of India gained Rs 1.85 and closed at Rs 1924.

Tata Steel lost Rs 2.25 after opening at Rs 395.50.
