'Akash Ganga' paratroopers, 'Sarang' advance light helicopter formations and 'Surya Kiran' formation aerobatics of Indian Air Force (IAF) are all set to display their daredevil peacetime adventure sports over Cuttack skyline on Friday to enthral the people of the state.
The IAF air show would be held here on December 23 to commemorate the birth centenary of legendary Biju Patnaik, an accomplished pilot of IAF, who was known for his successful adventurism with the flying machine during the freedom movement and after.
While Cuttack people have already witnessed the breathtaking show of Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) in the year 2011, Friday's inclusion of aerial artistry of Akash Ganga paratroopers and Sarang helicopters will be a treat to watch the skydiving team of IAF display their skills for about an hour.

As many as 100 pilots, 10 IAF officials of Surya Kiran Aerobatics, Saranga Aerobatics and Akash Ganga Aerobatics teams of IAF will participate in the daredevil show with 6 helicopters, 10 fighter aircraft.
"Arrangements are being made on the sprawling Ring Road from Khan Nagar to Judicial Academy to accommodate over three lakh people to witness the air show over the riverbed of Kathjodi on December 23", said Cuttack collector N C Mishra.
