Cyclist mowed down by truck in Etah

A 60-year-oldman was run over by a speeding truck while he was riding on his bicycle near Berani village in kotwali Jalesar here, police said today.

Mahesh Chandra was killed on the spot yesterday while he was hit by the truck whose driver fled from the scene but was later arrested, they said.

An FIR has been lodged in this connection, police said.
