D K Hota today assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of BEML (formerly Bharat Earth Movers Limited).
Hota was earlier Director (Human Resources) of BEML.
Prior to this, he had served in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited for 30 years -- his last designation being Head, Natural Gas Division, BEML said in a release.
"I believe that the 'Make in India' campaign is a golden opportunity for BEML to grow. With the given potential of the skills and experience, I am sure that the company would rise to greater heights," Hota said.
