Actress Daisy Ridley has opened up about her struggles with endometriosis and polycycstic ovaries.

The 24-year-old "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star said the problem took toll on her self-esteem when she was a teenager, reported People magazine.

"8 years down the line, pain was back (more mild this time!) and my skin was THE WORST," she writes. "I've tried everything: products, antibiotics, more products, more antibiotics and all that did was left my body in a bit of a mess. Finally found out I have polycycstic ovaries and that's why it's bad," she wrote on Instagram.

Ridley was diagnosed with endemetriosis at the age of 15 and admits her condition flared up again last year, while she was promoting the latest Star Wars movie.
