Dalit youth beaten to death

A Dalit youth was allegedly beaten to death by two youths on suspicion of being a thief in Fakharpur area, a senior officer said here.

Nankau (28) was beaten by Pradeep Mishra and Kuldeep Mishra on suspicion of theft in Janakpur village on Monday night, Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar Yadav said.

Nankau died while being taken to a hospital, he said.

On the complaint of the victim's father, an FIR was lodged yesterday and the two accused were arrested, the SP said.
