Das bats for work culture for all round development

Noting that people of Jharkhand favoured speedy development, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said work culture has to be for all round development of society.

"Whether they are ministers or bureaucrats," Das said while addressing at the first state-level 20-point programme here.

The role of civil society was also important in the development, Das said adding, because of political instability in the 14 years since the statehood, development could not happen, according to a press release.

Now that the state has absolute majority there should be a consensus on acceleration of developmental work in the interest of the state, Das said.
 

Stating that those doing good work would be rewarded and that competitive spirit would develop at the block and district level, Das said only when the civil society kept a vigil on government projects, corruption would reduce.

Stating that every person in the state was being given ration card, Das said red cards for below poverty line families and white cards for above poverty line families were being distributed.

Suggesting surprise visits to ascertain night patrolling, Das said the wrongdoer would be punished, the release said adding, he also asked to extend the last date for student scholarship.

Work was on to provide electricity to every household by December 2018 and by March, 2017 electricity would reach every village, the release quoted Das.

Das said rules were being simplified as per today's needs and if necessary further simplification would be done and the government would simplify acts as per the situation and times, which would be totally for development.

Absolute majority and total development has been the slogan, Das said and added that after 14 years the people got absolute majority and the aim was to build infrastructure and providing employment.

The budget for rural development would be increased for quality roads, Das added.
