Leading stock exchange BSE has appointed David Wright as a public interest director on its board.
Wright, who worked with the European Commission for more than three decades, also served as Secretary General of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) from March 2012-March 2016.
In a release today, BSE said Wright has been appointed as a public interest director with effect from March 16.
Wright became adviser to the European Commission's then President Jacques Santer in 1995, covering competitiveness, industrial and telecom policies, political relations with the UK and Ireland, financial services, among other areas.
