Debt drives couple to suicide

: Burdened by heavy debt, a couple allegedly committed suicide at a private lodge here today.

Their bodies were discovered on a bed in the room after police broke open the door on receving a complaint from the workers that there was no response to repeated knocks.

A tumbler of water mixed with poison was also found in the room, police said

They suspect the couple might have taken the extreme step as they were unable to repay heavy debts they had incurred.
