Deer found dead, hunters absconding

A deer was found dead at Dalerpur village in the district, police said today.

"A group of hunters chased the deer and shot him dead yesterday. When the villagers opposed them, they fled from the spot," police said.

A case has been registered against five persons including Tanvir, Lalan, Shehzad, Bhura and Kalu in this connection.

The body of deer has been sent for postmortem, police said.
