Delay in disbursal of OBC scholarship moneys irks CM

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan today asked the social justice department to expedite disbursal of scholarship amounts to OBC students.

The payments have been delayed for about two years and sources said Chavan took the secretaries of social justice and finance departments to the task over the issue.

"Social justice department officials complained that the delay was because of lack of funds," an official said.
