The duo are understood to have discussed security-related matters.
The meeting, which was held in the North Block, assumes significance amidst reports of alerts being sounded about the possibility of terrorist attacks in the national capital.
The Union Home Ministry has questioned the credibility of these reported alerts.
The central security agencies and the Delhi Police have raised vigil.
