'Delhi govt issued Rs 4.90 cr as relief for Ukd flood victims'

Delhi government has released a compensation of about Rs 4.90 crore for the next kin of victims of Uttrakhand disaster so far.

"Revenue department has given compensation to the next kin/relatives of 140 victims of 2013-Uttrakhand Disaster. A total amount of Rs 4.90 crore approximately, Rs. 3.50 lakh per victim, has been released by the government as compensation so far," Gyanesh Bharti, divisional commissioner-cum-secretary (Revenue), said.

In June 2013, Uttrakhand flood caused deaths of several people and extensive damage.
