Dense fog engulfs west UP

Dense fog enveloped western Uttar Pradesh today even as weather remained mainly dry over the state.

Orai in Jalaun district recorded the lowest minimum temperature of four degrees Celsius in the state, besides cold conditions prevailed at a few places.

Dense to very dense fog occurred at isolated places over western UP, a MET department official said.

It has forecast dry weather and fog at few places over the state and rain or thundershowers would occur at a few places over western UP on January 21.
