Deputy tehsildar arrested while taking bribe

The sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a deputy tehsildar red-handed while taking bribe at his office today.

D Rajamallu, deputy tehsildar of Timmapur Mandal in Karimnagar district, was caught while accepting Rs 5,000 from a farmer at his office at Timmapur, ACB said.

Rajamallu had demanded the bribe for releasing the compensation amount the farmer was due to receive after his land was acquired for a government project.
