Detonators seized; one held

Thirty-five detonators were seized here today and one person arrested in this connection, police said.

Police said the man Sivakumar was also carrying 60 metres of wire and a kg of carbon powder in his motorcycle.

He was on his way to a quarry when police found him allegedly carrying the detonators and wire without a proper licence.

A case was registered against Sivakumar under various sections of the IPC and Explosives Act, police said, adding, another person who was accompanying him managed to escape.
