Devotees celebrate birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh

Braving intense cold conditions, devotees today took holy dips in sacred tanks adjacent to Sikh shrines across Punjab and Haryana, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh.

Reports of Sikh devotees taking holy dips at sacred tanks have been received from Muktsar, Faridkot, Takhtpura, Amritsar, Kurukshetra and Kaithal.

The devotees also attended 'Akhand path' (recitation) of of Guru Granth Sahib in the Gudwaras.

Nagar kirtans (religious processions) were also taken out on the occasion in Moga, Faridkot and Kurukshetra.

The Sikh shrines were decorated to mark the occasion.
