"I welcome the High Court's order of imposing Rs 100 crore penalty on JAL and directing SIT to probe into the matter...This decision is in line with the stand taken by his government," he told reporters here
"The previous Congress government is on the dock for doling out Shamlat land to JAL and clearing the twin projects without going into various environmental aspects...It had ignored the illegalities committed by the promoter and gave go ahead to set up the plants," Dhumal said.
Dhumal said after coming to power in December 2007, the BJP government had fined the company to the tune of over Rs four crore.
